Fall 2017 marked the inaugural season of the 12:20 Launchpad Speakers Series, a program designed to give AAP students the opportunity to meet the professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, and activists who are shaping Delaware’s future today. Here's a look back at the guest speakers we hosted in Wilmington during the Spring 2018 semester — and stay tuned for the Fall 2018 speaker lineup!

Dr. Cuthbert Martyr is a medicinal chemist conducting research in drug development in oncology at GlaxoSmithKline, a multinational pharmaceutical company. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of the Virgin Islands and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Purdue University.

Dr. Natasha Samuels is a global technical operation raw material scientist at Johnson & Johnson Consumer, Inc. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Virginia Union University in 2006; it was there that she developed her passion for research within the biomedical field. Dr. Samuels went on to earn her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in Nanomedicine and Medical Devices at the University of South Florida. Following the completion of her degrees, she spent three years as a processing scientist at Johnson & Johnson. Currently, Dr. Samuels is enrolled in an MBA program, with a goal of understanding how to move a new product from conception to market.

Samantha Lukoff, Esq.

Samantha Lukoff, Esq., serves as a Delaware Family Court Commissioner, hearing a broad range of cases, including child support, misdemeanor crimes and delinquency, civil protection orders, and bail hearings. Her passions are juvenile justice and criminal justice reform, and she is actively involved in the effort to provide resources and support for individuals re-entering society after exiting the criminal justice system.
