From 2017 to 2020, the Associate in Arts Program partnered with the The UDairy Creamery to operate the UDairy Creamery Market, located at 815 N. Market St. in Wilmington. The collaboration offered a number of opportunities for AAP students, who staffed the location, produced ice cream in-house from UDairy milk, served customers, and gained invaluable experience in promoting sustainable business practices. It also hosted regular open mic nights that featured students' musical performances and poetry readings. While the Creamery Market was forced to close its doors in 2020 due to pandemic-related financial issues, we are grateful to have had this opportunity to partner with UD's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and look forward to the possibility of future collaborations.
