Biography
Carla C. Morris, associate professor of mathematics, is a Delaware native and has taught for the University of Delaware in Dover since 1987. She received a B.S. degree in mathematics and a minor in literature in 1983 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Her M.S. degree is in Operations Research and Statistics from RPI (1984). She completed a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Delaware in August 2001. Her dissertation, titled "Cost Model Misestimates," investigates several ways to correct for modeling errors.
Dr. Morris has co-authored two textbooks: Finite Mathematics: Models and Applications and Fundamentals of Calculus.
In her free time, Dr. Morris likes to work on word and number puzzles, her favorite being Samurai Sudoku.
