Biography
I am a native Delawarean and two-time University of Delaware alumna; I earned both a B.A. (in English and History) and an M.Ed. (in College Counseling) from UD. I hold an M.A. (in Contemporary Communication) from Notre Dame of Maryland University, and a D.Litt. (in Literary Studies) from Drew University. Aside from the three years that I spent working as a school counselor, my entire career has been in higher education. In addition to my experiences as an academic advisor and success coach, I also have a background as an instructor. I’ve taught First Year Experience, college composition, research writing, and academic success skills courses. I am a devout believer in the importance of intellectual curiosity, the liberal arts, lifelong learning, and the Oxford comma. I am based on the Newark campus and lead the AAP advisement team at the Dover, Georgetown, and Wilmington campuses.
